Introducing Little Sing!
Melbourne Library Service’s fun new storytime program for babies and toddlers up to two years old, and their parents and carers.
Come along for songs, rhymes and stories to engage your budding bookworm’s mind and introduce them to the fun and rhythm of language.
Six-week pilot program begins Thursday 9th October, 10:15am - 10:45am at East Melbourne Library.

Preschool Storytime Junior Book Group Holiday Programs

Preschool Storytime 2008 Come and share the wonder of books with us! Enjoy approximately 40 - 50 minutes of fun stories, songs, rhymes and activities with your two to five year olds... |
- Storytime sessions are conducted weekly throughout the year, (except January)
- Listening to stories and songs helps to develop children's language and motor skills
- Storytime introduces children to a wide range of books, encourages a lifelong love of reading and libraries, and gives your child the opportunity to mix with other children
Our experienced and enthusiastic library staff offer these sessions at the following libraries

An outstanding learning experience for all budding Paleontologists.
Come and see a T-rex skull, touch exhibits and pan for gems stones,

Join in our school holiday program as kite making 2005 World champion Joanne Baker teaches you how to make and fly your very own kite!

Dinosaur Tails - Carps Dinosaur Show
There are many different dinosaurs.
The Tyranosaurus Rex had great big teeth.
The Apatosaurus had a very long tail.Learn all about dinosaurs and be part of a tale about some dancing dinosaurs.

Feeling a little bored? Need to get out some energy?
Over the holidays, East Melbourne and North Melbourne Libraries will have Playstation II games, bring along a friend, book for a session and take the challenge. Simpsons, Gran Turismo 4, FIFA , Tony Hawk and more…
Construct a Dinosaur
Make your own Jurassic Park! Drop into your City, East and North Melbourne Libraries and ask for a kit to make a stand-up paper dinosaur. Choose from a Raptor, a Stegosaurus, or Australia's own Muttaburrasaurus!

Junior Bookgroup... W.O.T. > What's on Thursdays?
W.O.T is North Melbourne Library's junior book group. If you love reading books then we have just the thing for you! Come along to find out about great new books, meet other kids and chat about books, be the first to borrow some fabulous new library materials and learn some new skills.
Held on the last Thursday of the month from 4pm to 5pm, for children aged 6 - 10 years.
All sessions will be held in the Meeting Room at the North Melbourne Library - bookings essential 9658 9700
